For everyone’s well-being, we kindly ask that NO children under the age of 16 use the hot tub. Due to the elevated water temperature and the use of chlorine, it’s important to ensure a safe environment for all and a relaxing space for all adults. Children’s skin is more delicate and sensitive than that of adults, making them more vulnerable to the effects of hot tub water. The elevated temperatures can cause irritation or even overheating more quickly. Additionally, the chlorine used to keep the water sanitary may be harsher on a child’s tender skin, potentially leading to dryness or discomfort. For these reasons, it’s best to keep young children out of the hot tub to protect their well-being.

The hot tub has strong suction from pumps, and there are areas where small fingers could get stuck. This is another important reason why children under 16 should not be in the hot tub. At Houghton Lodge, we’re delighted to offer you private pool time from 8:30am to 12:30pm To insuring an enjoyable experience we ask you to keep this space safe and inviting, we kindly ask that no glass items, food, or drinks be brought into the pool area. For everyone’s comfort, a refreshing shower before and after your swim is appreciated. After your time in the water, we kindly remind you to place the cover back on and switch off the lights—this helps us conserve energy and keep the pool comfortably warm for everyone. We truly appreciate your help in making it a wonderful experience for all!

For the safety of both children and adults, we kindly ask that all guests remain vigilant while enjoying the pool area. After your swim, please remove any toys or inflatables to keep the space clear and safe for everyone. This helps ensure a tidy environment and prevents any potential hazards. We truly appreciate your thoughtful care in making the pool a safe and enjoyable place for all.

Additionally, for everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that no one swims alone. Having a companion ensures that assistance is always at hand if needed.
